Blackthorn Blossom (March 2004)

The magazine contains hundreds of features covering, how to’s, photo shoots, national wildlife events, visits, walks and more. During the upgrade of our site you may be directed in and out of our new and old web pages, so the colour scheme may change from time to time. We are also developing a new, easier navigation aid but for the time being you’ll just have to explore on your own. Don’t worry though. If you get lost, just ‘click’ on the logo in the top left corner to get back to the Home Page.
We cover all aspects of wildlife, from feeding birds in the garden to where you can find rare wild flowers. As always with Noahs Ark, we have an emphasis on native species to encourage awareness of the beauty and diversity of life these support.

The Sensory Garden
A flower garden might delight your eyes and a wildlife garden should be full of life but their is no reason at all why you can’t delight ALL of your senses as well as those of the local wildlife.

The Wildlife Pond
Covering all aspects from concept through planning, building and planting, to create your very own wildlife pond in the garden.

The Wildflower Meadow
Whether you have a spare corner in a small plot, or acres of riverside fields, the rules are pretty much the same – see what to do here.

The Wildlife Garden
Useful design and planning considerations before you embark on a wildlife garden project. We have also included essential plant lists to help get you started.

Create a Bat Border
If you have bats in your area here are some ideas how you can attract them into your garden.
